BARRINGTON BUSINESS OWNERS LAUNCH NEW DRYFT APP
LONG-TIME BARRINGTON RESIDENT and Barrington High School alumnus Mike Murray and Jackie, his wife, had an ah-ha moment when a family member was recovering from a serious health issue. When she could not do the heavy lifting of snow removal last winter, an idea can to light. “She was the inspiration for our new snow removal app,” Mike Murray said. Since 2012, the Murrays have run APLS-All Parking Lot Services, their business of commercial and residential snow removal, and the new app was a natural extension of their offerings and a way to revolutionize local snow removal services.
The services focus on a targeted geographic area including the Barringtons, Lake Zurich, and Palatine. Murray says he does not want to over-extend his service area, which allows for tight response times (four hours, any time of day) and excellent service. Customers have a variety of driveway materials, and DRYFT services will use the right equipment for each. Other benefits include environmentally friendly salt, and hand shoveling for smaller areas such as steps and dog runs. Another key option is a service setting on the app for 2” snow removal—getting ahead on deeper snow falls. And for no-show providers? DRYFT will get the job done. Snow removal will also be provided for small commercial centers.
Options for snow removal include advance scheduling for incoming snowstorms which the DRYFT app will signal through its weather feature. Snowbirds or vacationers can schedule service remotely through the app.
All DRYFT service providers are background checked and pre-screened. For those interested in applying to DRYFT, go online to the DRYFT Service Provider and sign-up.
There is a season-long sign-up option for users on the Apple and Android friendly app, which is free and downloaded through Apple’s app store. Snow removal payments can be per event or seasonal and are made through the app or online for those who prefer using a website. For more information, visit DRYFTnow.com
